to do this year after year!
We are thrilled to announce that we collected over $500 for The Torch during our Christmas promotion this year! We are so honored to have partnered with these ladies and their amazing organization! Their mission of feeding hungry people right here in our area is so important, and the fact that they do it from a food truck is just so cool. Congratulations to Jay and Michelle Krause whose names were drawn from all who donated. They have won the food truck for their very own event!!
We were thrilled to help Jackie find the perfect “Volkswagon Blue” sapphire to match her Classic 1978 Volkswagen Beetle convertible!!! We also applaud her choice of this gorgeous Simon G. Jewelry setting!
Below is a post from the Facebook page of Heather Buja, one of the amazing staff members at our sister store, Bink & Babs. Many years ago, we decided to replace watch batteries at no charge, in lieu of a donation to a charity. We are proud to say that during this time we have donated thousands of dollars to many charitable organizations. This is another great one, and we are very proud of Heather for taking this on, as well as our crew at Cooper & Binkley who work to promote each charity!
"DRUM ROLL PLEASE...I'd like to give Cooper & Binkley Jewelers a HUGE THANK YOU for their generous donation towards my fundraising efforts for "The Mission Continues."
In order to raise funds they changed two watch batteries at no charge, and accepted a donation in lieu of that charge. This, of course, would not be possible without all the customers who generously and kindly donated in support of my cause. Additionally, the staff, deserves a big round of applause for all their hard work this past month, doing a great job for the cause!!
Thanks again the staff of Cooper & Binkley and the customers, for all your support dedication to a great cause!"
Best Ladies' Night ever!!! Patios were open, streets were packed!
Best weather + most ladies = most fun!!!
Congratulations to Kim McCord, winner of our recent Facebook contest! Kim won her choice of three Alex and Ani Bracelets.
Jonathan Hill had a little help when he first came to see us to pick out an engagement ring for Sarah Kirk. We’d say it worked out beautifully!!! Congratulations, Jonathan and Sarah!
Well, this was a tough one! We have some incredible stories of love in our second annual “Greatest Valentine’s Love Story” contest. It was a very difficult decision. We are pleased to announce that our Grand Prize winner is Linda Schweizer! Congratulations, Linda, what an amazing story!! We are also pleased to announce that the winners of the $100 Cooper & Binkley Gift Card are Dawn Klee – Williams, Kathryn Eifert Groves and Sarah McLaren Thomas. Congratulations! Here is a reprint of Linda’s Grand Prize story:
My Love Story: I was married for 19+ years to my very best friend and we had 2 fabulous children, a boy and girl. Friends and family always said that they wanted a marriage like ours and we'd just smile and giggle and kiss. My husbands nurses were in awe of us and said 'we were joined at the hip'. well you can imagine my pain and anguish when he died at 39 yrs of age from a ridiculously rare blood disease called TTP. My heart was broken, my kids hearts were broken but we stayed close to eachother. 2 yrs later I thought maybe I could start dating again. I'd been out a few times and hated it. A guy named scott contacted me thru an online dating site and just wanted to be my friend. We talked thru IM's and finally by phone for about 3+mths before we finally met in person. I knew by the 2nd date that I would marry him and he knew on the first date. Here's where it gets interesting..my late husband was hallucinating when he was sick and he saw little wiremen running around building things in his hospital room (he did pc controlled HVAC systems and electrician)...when Scott IM'd me for the first time I saw his screen name and choked. It was WIREMAN! What did he do for a living? Electronics and electrical work with security systems..same type of work as late husband Dale. Then I found out that his parents house, his boyhood home, was next door to a house the Dale and I tried to buy years before. Then his son came over one day and recognized my dog! Come to find out, Scott's exwife's cousin was a friend of mine and Dales' and my kids played with Scott's son at their house! There are so many odd similarities, even matching astrological signs for Scott and Dale. I found a 2nd soulmate which I find amazing since most people don't ever find one. My kids adore Scott and he loves them as his own kids. You couldn't ask for a more perfect fit and I call my life a movie with a 2 yr intermission. My heart was hurt and Scott was going thru his own hell and we found eachother because I believe Dale brought Scott to me. We've been married for 13+ yrs and I'd love to share my love with him by winning a 'best love story'...even if it's just him seeing that I submitted our story...so he knows how much he means to me.
Thanks for reading my story..Hope you all have a fabulous Valentines Day.
